Hydrothermal Humification (HTH) is a mild chemical engineering process (200°C and 16 bar) simulating natural humification, but with an acceleration factor of up to 109. Usually achieves excellent carbon yields, i.e. the majority of the carbon bound in biomass ends up in the humified product.
